The Journey
Our background & History
Jason Marshall didn’t so much choose architecture - it found him. With a background in psychology and business from the University of Oregon, his fascination with how people live and move through space eventually led him to the world of design. Once enrolled at Portland State University’s School of Architecture, the creative floodgates opened - and he's been drafting dreams ever since.
After gaining formative experience at several respected Portland firms, Jason took his passion to UCLA, where he earned a Master of Architecture and studied under some of the most influential names in the field. His post-grad journey included time at internationally recognized firms, honing a deep appreciation for residential design and a talent for blending aesthetics with functionality.
In 2010, Jason returned to Portland with his wife and children, ready to build something of his own - enter Lime Design Collective. As founder and principal, Jason leads with a sharp eye, a collaborative spirit, and the belief that great design should enhance the way we live, not just the way things look.
Over the years, Jason’s work has been recognized with awards, published in design journals, and yes - he’s even graced the screen. His home renovation skills were featured on FOX’s The Complex: Malibu, and he’s shared his remodeling expertise with a national audience on CNN.
Today, with over two decades of industry experience, Jason continues to grow Lime Design Collective with the same curiosity that started it all - focused on creating spaces that reflect the people who live in them and stand the test of time.
